Amilya is entering her tenth year of coaching club volleyball, having coached local, academy and regional teams ages 10-14. Amilya coached at the middle school level for three years prior to moving on to a head high school position from 2020-2022 at Hope Christian where her team obtained back-to-back district championships, semi-finalist finish and state runner-up in 2021. Amilya was named “District Coach of the Year” in 2021 and “Metro Coach of the Year (4A)” in 2021. This past season, Amilya was the assistant varsity coach at Cibola High school. Cibola was district champion and state runner-up in the 2023 season.

Amilya has Masters from the NMSU in Social Work and Public Health, and works at the VA Hospital as the Chief Experience Officer. Amilya has three sons; her son Cael shares her love of volleyball and plays at E3.
